The Readingmachine titles a growing and unlimited number of books in several languages. Each book contains the beginning of a story about an impossible undertaking of a man who decided to read the entirety of all books. Each one shows the first page of the first chapter, written from different perspectives, within different genres and literal traditions. The failed stories suggest an unlimited range of possibilities for an unachievable effort. Its growth and incompleteness is the counter-movement to the attempt of the hero, who tries to read the entirety of books. Both attempts are equally absolute and equally absurd.
