Give A Colour To A White Lie 2006–2007
Text-installation in Amsterdam

Public work present during 2006 in the streets of Amsterdam. It is a crossover of two proverbs, a mutation linked through the element they have in common: they hinge on the notion of colour in an expression. Both play with manipulating the implications of a certain utterance and its moral judgement. The literal meaning of this slogan remains unclear, yet its context – on a house’s façade – relates it to a general ‘heraldic’ motto or imperative. Marthouse Amsterdam
